We tried a couple of dishes for dinner when we visited Waterside during their Weekend Jam, which includes the dishes below. Also, check out this post to see what dishes Waterside has to offer: LATIN AMERICAN FLAVORS FROM WATERSIDE AT SOLAIRE.

Chaufa Fried Rice - Peruvian style fried rice, pork belly, chorizo, shrimp omelette, sesame seeds
Camarones De Picante - Marinated charred prawns, black bean and sweet potato stew, cherry tomato, spring onion
Churros and Chocolate - fried-dough pastry with rich chocolate dip

Pumpkin Flan - pumpkin and custard layered dessert with a soft caramel top with shredded coconut and fresh mango cubes.
Mexican Bread Pudding - rum raisins, vanilla ice cream, condensed caramel sauce and topped with vanilla ice cream.
“If you don’t like tacos, I’m nacho type.” says a pun I’ve seen a while back! I mean who doesn’t love tacos, the crispy or the soft ones, they all appeal to me. Taco Tuesday is a custom in many US cities of going out to eat tacos or in some cases select Mexican dishes typically served in a tortilla on Tuesday nights. And of course, Pinoys are also fond of tacos (thanks to our historical relations with Mexico and US), thus Taco Tuesdays have been a thing for us as well.
Waterside’s Taco Tuesdays is taking tacos and tequilas to a whole new level every Tuesday. Tuck into tacos at a special price and get 50% off on our Mai Tai cocktails. Gather your amigos and comer todos los tacos! These tacos are available in soft and hard shells and comes in 8 varieties. These tacos are priced 100+ pesos a piece available from 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM. So yes please, indulge yourselves!
Hard Shell Tacos:
Cilantro Lime Beef – braised beef, chile con queso, pico de gallo and lettuce
Chicken Enchilada – slow cooked chicken, spicy enchilada sauce, refried beans and salsa criolla
Cauliflower Al Pastor – charred cauliflower, mojo verde, pineapple habanero salsa, red onions, cilantro
Baja Fish – beer-battered fish, red cabbage slaw, corn salsa, citrus mayo
Soft Shell Tacos:
Ancho Chicken – Ancho chili marinated chicken, chipotle raisin puree, kimchi slaw, spring onion.
Huevos Rancheros – crispy fried eggs, refried beans, avocado, salsa fresca, pickled cabbage
Chorizo – Mexican chorizo, paprika potatoes, pickled onions, roasted salsa verde
Cochinita Pibil – slow cooked achiote pork, grilled pineapple, pickled red onion
These tacos are best enjoyed with Waterside’s Signature Mai Tai Cocktails! The Mai Tai is a cocktail based on rum, Curaçao liqueur, orgeat syrup, and lime juice, associated with Polynesian-style settings. Red and White Sangria is also available. On Taco Tuesdays, these mai tais are at 50% off. We got to try all three of them, which includes:
Carribean – rum, orgeat, habanero lime and passion fruit syrup. This was on the tangy-spicy side with real chili powder sprinkled on top.
Trader Vic – rum, orgeat and orange curacao. This drink on the other hand is on the sweet-sour side.
Coco Nut – rum, orgeat, coconut peanut cream and orange curacao. I loved this one as this really gives a coconut creamy goodness that balances the taste of the rum. A must-try!
Sangria - red wine and chopped fruit, often with other ingredients such as orange juice or brandy.
What a fun night it was last night enjoying these great food with foodie friends over great conversations. Whoever you are, whatever you do, Tuesdays and Weekends at Waterside surely has something great in store for you!
