4 Common MacBook Problems And How To Fix Them

If your Mac is showing signs of age and is acting strange, do not junk it just yet. There are some common problems that every Mac user faces and there are different ways you can fix them. Also, you may want to check out this great macbook stand from Yohann before you read on.

1. Startup trouble
If the Mac fails to boot properly and you see yourself staring at a blank screen for a long time, it is time to try booting it in Safe Mode. When you use the Safe Mode, your Mac will boot with minimum drivers and software required and it will run a check of the startup disk and also repair any issues which could be the cause of all the trouble. To start your MacBook in a safe mode, you need to start it and press and hold the Shift key. You can release the Shift key when you see the Apple logo on the screen.

2. Incompatible login items
If you see a blue screen when you start your Mac, it could mean that one of the startup items is not compatible with the MacOS. You can easily identify the problem child by trial and error. What you need to do is go to System Preferences and then go to Users and Groups. Now click on the name on the left under Current User and click on Login Items above the window on the right. Now highlight the app and it will get removed from the list. Once done, you can start the Mac to see if the issue is resolved. You will have to carry out the same procedure for every app or you could contact Flint Audio Video to assist you with the same. You can also add the items back to the list with the “+” button after choosing the applications from the folder.

3. Unresponsive app
Users often come across an app that occasionally trips up the Mac. Once the app hangs, it will freeze you out and you will be unable to do anything on it. It will not allow you to quit out of it. You need to enter force quick. Call up the Force Quit menu from the Apple icon in the upper left corner. Now highlight the app which is not responding and hit the Force Quit button. Or check the devices connected to your laptop as they may not be working. I suggest you get the best usb c docking station you can find to prevent any problems.

4. No internet connectivity
Most of us tend to freak out when there is no WiFi network in the MacBook. The easiest way to fix this is to tell the MacBook to forget the network and reconnect as if it is a brand new network. Click on the Advanced button in System Preferences and you will see a list of networks. Now remove the network that you were using earlier. Once done, you need to click on the Wi-Fi icon and reconnect the network to start afresh. If you do not get internet connectivity after doing this, you might want to take your MacBook to the experts at Flint Audio Video Middletown, RI for a troubleshoot.

Do not panic when you face one of these common MacBook problems. They can be easily resolved. Also make sure that you buy a waterproof laptop sleeve to protect your gadget.
